As oil and gas assets reach the end of their productive life, operators must safely and efficiently decommission wells, facilities, pipelines, and offshore infrastructure. Decommissioning involves significant technical, financial, contractual, environmental, and project management challenges that require careful planning throughout the asset lifecycle. This practical programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills to plan and manage oil and gas decommissioning and abandonment activities. Participants will learn how to define decommissioning scope, estimate costs, manage risks and contractors, plan well abandonment and facility removal, address environmental responsibilities, and control projects through final closeout.
